I just stumbled upon the same problem.
You need to start the game in windowed mode.
For example, I’m playing Prince of Persia: Sands of time.
I use this DxWnd to make it in windowed mode: https://sourceforge.net/projects/dxwnd/

Sorry, it cannot, you can only use it on the screen that is connected to a device with Iris on it, like a laptop or tablet
